I came across this article about New York photographer Ourit Ben Haim’s project photographing people reading books on the New York Subway. Her blog is http://undergroundnewyorkpubliclibrary.com/. If you click on any of the photos, you’ll get taken to her Flickr collection. Some of these are really terrific. I particularly like this one.
It’s cool that reading, even if it’s moving to e-readers these days, is still such a prevalent subway activity. And as the article notes, seeing what people are reading opens up the possibility of a connection with another person.
